Greater good

If you don't change the one you love
Then your love becomes an object
A coupling represents a strength
It's hearts not things that so connect
You compromise my weaknesses
Make me the better man
We two against this sordid world
Are all the stronger by your hand
You change me by such fine degrees
By showing me what this man needs
If you don't change the one you love
Then you won't feel this greater good
