Holding in my breath

I love it when the sun shines
And the day it yawns ahead
I love it when I hear from
A long forgotten friend
I love it when I feel like
This is the living end
But it's just that I will be
A holding in my breath

I love it when the dog barks
At fallen leaves in the park
I love it when I hear a laugh
As lovers round the path
I love it when I take a chance
With something that I said
But it's just that I will be
A holding in my breath

For it's just that I will be
A holding in my breath
For it's best I bite my tongue
And bask in what you've said

I love it when it's pay day
And the money might just stretch
I love it when I'm drinking
And I manage not to wretch
I love it when I'm winning
With every single bet
But it's just that I will be
A holding in my breath

I love it when you're with me
And I brush your breast
I love it when you need me
And when you're feeling fresh
I love it when you feed me
And hold me in your nest
But it's just that I will be
A holding in my breath

For it's just that I will be
A holding in my breath
For it's best I bite my tongue
And bask in what you've said

I love it when my lover's yes
Is the yes of a best friend
I love it when wet kisses slip
From between her lovely lips
I love it when I'm missing her
Her things and her beliefs
I love it when she's away
That I can't even breathe
