Sometimes a lie is good enough

Sometimes a lie is good enough
So please don't poison me with truth

One, two, three, four
I declare a thumb war!
Some of you are tedious
Reciting like a book
Some of you are odious
The way you speak and look
Your poetry's acceptable
But really only just
I can't believe you think it's fine
To be so vacuous

With awful strings of adjectives
You annotate your world
Describe to me the concrete streets
We've wrapped around this earth
You don't so much speak as bleat
Irritating me with words

Well done for being odious
For reaching such a height
At first you were just tedious
A creepy little mite
